Five Generations Sculpture by Debrajean Cox

Five Generations

Debrajean donated this sculpture to the Pat Penny Memorial Arts Project, presented by the Ladies of Legacy organization.

The organization was formed with the motto: “Women fighting brain cancer one day at a time.”

The theme of the art show is “Heads Up”, and the judged contest mandated that a styrofoam head be used as the medium in the artwork. Outside of that stipulation artists were given carte blanche.

As of this writing, the sculptures are being shown in various locations in Dallas and Fort Worth. For more information, you can visit the Ladies of Legacy website at:

Debrajean’s sculpture , entitled Five Generations, won first prize in the judging. The sculpture consists of 5 faces, (3 on one side, 2 on the other), mounted on plexiglass, and rotating on a base. The heads were painting to represent different metals, and the base has the appearance of wrought iron.

Welcome to Creative Painting. This web site is designed to show off the distinctive and varied art of Debrajean Cox. The site is in its infancy, but you can check back in the coming weeks to see the talent and abilities of Debrajean.

(So you don’t think Debbie is bragging on herself. Her husband Stan is the one who wrote this post, and is designing the web site).
